Supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are gearing up for grand celebrations marking his third swearing-in across 22 cities in the United States. This was confirmed by Adapa Prasad, President of the Overseas Friends of BJP-USA (OFBJP-USA), on Friday.

The series of victory celebrations will be held over the current and upcoming weekends in cities like New York, Washington DC, Boston, and Los Angeles, among others.

“Victory festivities will commence this Friday and continue through next Sunday,” said Prasad.

Throughout the election campaign, OFBJP-USA engaged in various activities such as car rallies and community calling efforts to raise awareness in American cities.

With the BJP being the largest party in Lok Sabha, Modi's third consecutive term is historic—the first in over six decades.

“This is a proud moment for all of us,” remarked Chandrakant Patel, former OFBJP-USA president, from Tampa, Florida, where the first celebration is set to begin.

Post-election, OFBJP-USA aims to reinforce India-US ties by mobilizing the Indian diaspora in advocacy initiatives.

“We'll also urge the Prime Minister to establish an NRI Commission to address issues faced by overseas Indians,” said Prasad, citing common problems such as property disputes and bank signature mismatches.

The group seeks to push for NRI voting rights, noting the current requirement to travel to India to vote is financially taxing.

The election results on June 4 saw the National Democratic Alliance, led by Modi, re-elected for a third consecutive term. The opposition, led by Congress, also displayed a resurgence.
