BJP leader Jitendra Singh, a familiar face from Jammu and Kashmir politics to the power corridors of Delhi, is known for his efficiency and loyalty, having served in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's past two governments.
Popularly referred to as 'Dr Sahab', Singh has held multiple roles, including the Minister of State (MoS) in the influential Prime Minister's Office (PMO) over the last decade, spanning Modi's first and second terms. On Sunday, President Droupadi Murmu administered his oath as the Minister of State (independent charge) for a third consecutive tenure of PM Modi.
Born in Jammu, 67-year-old Singh first entered the national political scene in 2014 as a first-time Lok Sabha member from Udhampur constituency. His governance style, particularly regarding bureaucracy and the development of Jammu and Kashmir, has garnered widespread appreciation.
