Prime Minister Narendra Modi's newly assembled Council of Ministers, sworn in on Sunday, showcases a blend of experience from both houses of Parliament. Notably, one-sixth of the ministers hail from the Rajya Sabha.
The Council, part of Modi's 3.0 administration, features 12 upper house members and 58 freshly elected Lok Sabha MPs. Among the new state ministers, Ravneet Singh Bittu and George Kurian must secure parliamentary membership within six months.
The ceremonious swearing-in at the Rashtrapati Bhawan included a total of 72 ministers, spanning from the Prime Minister and 30 cabinet ministers to 5 Ministers of State with independent charge and 36 state ministers.
