Prem Singh Tamang, leader of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, is set to be sworn in as the chief minister for a second consecutive term on Monday, according to state officials.

Governor Lakshman Acharya will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Tamang and his Council of Ministers at Paljor Stadium, which is expected to host around 30,000 people for the ceremony.

The state government has mandated the closure of all educational institutions and declared a half-day holiday for government offices in and around Gangtok to facilitate security for the event. The council of ministers will consist of 12 members, including the chief minister.
