Tamang, 56, leads the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha, a party that has returned to power in a resounding victory, securing 31 out of the 32 assembly seats. In stark contrast, the opposition, Sikkim Democratic Front, which had held sway for 25 years until 2019, managed to secure only a single seat.
