N Chandrababu Naidu Elected as NDA Leader, Ready to Swear-in as Andhra CM

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has been elected as the NDA leader in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. With unanimous support from TDP, Janasena, and BJP legislators, Naidu is set to take the CM oath, marking his fourth tenure. The victory is part of an unprecedented landslide win for the NDA in the state.

TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu was elected as the NDA leader in the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly on Tuesday.

In a significant meeting held in Vijayawada, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Janasena Party, and BJP legislators unanimously elected Naidu. Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan had proposed Naidu's name, which was further backed by state BJP chief D Purandeswari.

Naidu, previously elected as TDP's legislative party leader in the morning, also declared that he would take oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the fourth time. Naidu thanked the members for their support and announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi's attendance at his swearing-in ceremony. Naidu emphasized his commitment to make Amaravati the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh and vowed to complete the Polavaram Project, while also developing Visakhapatnam as an economic hub. Reflecting on the recent unprecedented victory in the polls, Naidu acknowledged the determination of the state's five-crore people for their support.
