Pema Khandu's Third Term as Arunachal Pradesh CM Commences

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Pema Khandu on being sworn in for his third term as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh. During the ceremony, Khandu and eleven other MLAs took their oaths, promising accelerated development for the state.

In a significant political event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended his congratulations to BJP leader Pema Khandu for assuming office as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for the third consecutive term. Modi expressed confidence in Khandu's team, highlighting their commitment to the state’s accelerated development.

Khandu, who was re-elected unopposed from the Mukto constituency, was sworn in by Governor KT Parnaik. The ceremony, held at the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, saw the presence of notable figures such as Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.

Alongside Khandu, eleven other MLAs took oath as ministers. Among them were Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, former Assembly Speaker PD Sona, BJP state unit president Biyuram Wahge, and Dasanglu Pul, the widow of former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul. Modi also extended his best wishes to the newly sworn-in leaders for their future endeavors in serving the people.
