AIADMK Demands CM Stalin's Resignation Over Hooch Tragedy

The AIADMK plans statewide protests on June 24, demanding Chief Minister M K Stalin's resignation over the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy. Opposition party AIADMK has announced statewide protests on June 24, calling for Chief Minister M K Stalin to step down. The protests stem from the tragic Kallakurichi hooch incident which claimed several lives, highlighting the ruling DMK's failure to curb illicit arrack sales.

In an official statement, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami demanded that Stalin take moral responsibility for the incident and resign. The protests will be staged across all district headquarters.

Palaniswami highlighted that around 200 individuals from Karunapuram consumed the spurious liquor. He called on AIADMK cadres to participate en masse, urging the state government to implement measures to prevent future hooch tragedies.
