Claudia Sheinbaum Announces Key Cabinet Members

Mexican President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum named key members of her incoming cabinet on Thursday. Marcelo Ebrard will serve as economy minister, while diplomat Juan Ramon de la Fuente will take on the role of foreign minister. The new cabinet will take office in October.

Mexican President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum on Thursday named the first members of her incoming cabinet, who will take office with her in October.

Sheinbaum named former Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to the post of economy minister. Diplomat Juan Ramon de la Fuente will take over as foreign minister, she said.
