National Conference Demands Action from PM Modi on Jammu and Kashmir Promises

The National Conference has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill his promises regarding assembly elections, statehood restoration, and development in Jammu and Kashmir. MPs Mian Altaf Ahmad and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi emphasized the need for concrete actions instead of empty promises, urging for real change in the region.

The National Conference on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honor his commitments on holding assembly elections, restoring statehood, and addressing development gaps in Jammu and Kashmir through tangible action.

In a statement, NC leaders and newly elected Members of Parliament, Mian Altaf Ahmad, and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, expressed the people's exhaustion over empty promises and rhetoric.

“It is time for concrete progress. Let’s witness action rather than mere words. The residents of J-K deserve more than just lip service,” they declared, stressing the urgency for real change and the delivery of promises to the region. The MPs highlighted the 10-year stagnation and unmet expectations despite the prime minister's recent visits, calling for substantial infrastructure projects and employment packages to address the region's pressing issues.
