Ayyannapatrudu Unanimously Elected Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly

TDP's Narsipatnam MLA C Ayyannapatrudu was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the 16th Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. His election was a formality with no opposition. All 175 MLAs have now taken the oath of office. YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit Kadapa district instead of attending the Assembly.

In a noteworthy event, TDP's Narsipatnam MLA, C Ayyannapatrudu, was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the 16th Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Saturday, following a smooth electoral process devoid of any contest.

This election was a mere procedural formality, as no other MLA submitted a nomination to challenge Ayyannapatrudu. Legislative Assembly Secretary General PPK Ramacharyulu confirmed that only three nominations were received, all backing Ayyannapatrudu.

Simultaneously, the second day of the Assembly's first session commenced at 10:30 am today. The three remaining MLAs took their oaths, completing the formalities for all 175 legislators. Meanwhile, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not expected to attend the Assembly as he plans to visit Kadapa district.
