Majhi's Maiden Homecoming: Keonjhar Welcomes the New Odisha CM

Majhi was warmly welcomed by locals and announced a grant for Maa Tarini temple's development. He plans further visits to local areas before returning to Bhubaneswar.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made a grand entrance in Ghatagaon, part of his home district Keonjhar, during his first visit after assuming office. Majhi arrived at the Ghatagaon High School helipad at approximately 10.30 am, where locals greeted him with an enthusiastic welcome.
Leading a roadshow from the helipad to the revered Maa Tarini temple, Majhi offered his prayers amidst fervent chants of 'Jai Shri Ram.' To support the temple's comprehensive development, he announced an additional grant of Rs 50 crore, adding to a previous allocation.
Majhi expressed his intention to seek national tourism site status for the temple. Later, he paid tribute to local leader Bhimsen Rout and continued his roadshow from Baladevjew temple. Following a night in Keonjhar, Majhi will visit Raikala and Jhumpura on Monday before returning to Bhubaneswar.
