Members of the AIADMK in the Tamil Nadu Assembly faced suspension for a day on Tuesday, following disruptive behavior as they attempted to reintroduce discussions on the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy during Question Hour.

Chief Minister M K Stalin reiterated that the issue had previously been thoroughly debated and steps had been taken, including the formation of an enquiry commission and the arrest of those responsible.

Speaker M Appavu enforced the suspension after the opposition continued their demands, leading to the eviction of members who impeded house proceedings.
