Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren declared a “rebellion” against “feudal forces” on Sunday, asserting that the opposition INDIA bloc will aim to oust the BJP from the country.

Addressing a rally on 'Hul Diwas', Soren claimed that the saffron party has become “jittery” after his release from jail, accusing its leaders of conspiring against him again.

''Today marks my first public address post-release on ‘Hul Diwas’, a day of inspiration reminiscent of the Santhal uprising against the British. We declare a 'Hul rebellion' to eradicate feudal forces from Jharkhand and India,'' Soren stated.

The day commemorates the 1855 Santhal rebellion against the British.

“Falsely implicated, I faced harassment from the Centre using its probe agencies for raising my voice. Just two days out of jail, the BJP is already unsettled. Top leaders frequent Jharkhand, conspiring against me,'' he added.

Soren also emphasized that Jharkhand, known as a land of revolutionaries, fears no oppression.

The former CM was released on Friday from Birsa Munda Jail following bail granted by the Jharkhand high court in a money laundering case.

The JMM executive president was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with an alleged land scam.
