In a fiery debate in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan, also known as Lalan Singh, vehemently criticized the opposition Congress party and the Gandhi family, accusing them of 'destroying' the Constitution during the Emergency.

Singh declared, 'I declare the Congress party as anti-Constitution,' while intervening in the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President's Address. He asserted that the name of the Gandhi family would be marked in the 'black chapter' of Indian history. Singh further alleged that many opposition members, brandishing copies of the Constitution, were part of the same party that 'tarnished' the statute.

Targeting the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, Singh claimed his address resembled election campaign speeches, accusing him of misleading the public and attacking constitutional institutions. Singh urged parties like SP and DMK not to support the Congress, emphasizing that the real threat to the Constitution comes from the Congress, not Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
