Himachal CM Aides Allegedly Involved in Multi-Crore Scams: BJP

The BJP claimed that incriminating documents were found in recent ED and IT department raids implicating two close associates of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in multi-crore scams. Allegations include illegal mining, land deals, and cash transactions favoring Sukhu’s confidants Gian Chand and Pratap Chand.

The BJP on Wednesday claimed that incriminating documents were unearthed during recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (IT) department raids, implicating two close aides of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in multi-crore scams.

The ED and IT conducted raids on June 29 and July 4 at various establishments in Hamirpur and Kangra districts, gathering documents from jewellery shops, petrol pumps, and crushers.

Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur urged Sukhu to clarify his relationship with individuals involved in illegal mining, whose premises were raided. Thakur added that FIRs, complaints, and field reports led to the ED and IT actions, unveiling scams worth crores and revealing troubling ties between the alleged offenders and Sukhu.
