The journey began in Moscow, marking his first visit since the Ukraine conflict, to participate in the 22nd India-Russia summit with President Vladimir Putin.
In a meeting with Putin, Modi emphasized that a peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict cannot be achieved through warfare. He received the prestigious 'Order of St Andrew the Apostle' award from Putin, originally announced in 2019, for his role in fostering bilateral ties.
