White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced on Thursday that U.S. operations of a pier designed to enhance humanitarian aid flow into the Gaza Strip will soon be winding down. The pier, built to assist in delivering critical food and aid to Gaza, has been instrumental but is now supported by additional land routes.

'The real issue right now is not about getting aid into Gaza. It's about getting aid around Gaza effectively,' Sullivan told reporters, emphasizing challenges such as lawlessness, armed gangs, and disruptions by the Hamas militant group.
