Newly-elected Lok Sabha MP from Nagaland, S Supongmeren Jamir, announced his intention to raise the unresolved Naga political issue in the upcoming budget session of Parliament.

The Congress leader also plans to advocate for statehood for Eastern Nagaland and seek exemption of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from the state.

Jamir expressed his commitment to representing the sentiments of the Naga people and addressing concerns about the unemployed educated youths in the state.
