INDIA Bloc Secures Victory in Majority of By-election Seats

The INDIA bloc parties emerged victorious in 10 of the 13 assembly seats in recent by-elections held across seven states. The BJP clinched two seats, and an Independent candidate secured one, as votes were counted on Saturday.
The Congress, TMC, AAP, and DMK were among the INDIA bloc parties that fielded candidates. Punjab's AAP candidate, Mohinder Bhagat, won the Jalandhar West seat, defeating BJP's Sheetal Angural by 37,325 votes. In Tamil Nadu, DMK's Anniyur Siva secured a win in Vikravandi, prevailing over NDA's Pattali Makkal Katchi.
West Bengal saw significant wins for the TMC, with Krishna Kalyani, Mukut Nami Adhikari, Madhuparna Thakur, and Supti Pandey defeating their BJP rivals. Himachal Pradesh's Congress candidates Kamlesh Thakur and Hardeep Singh Bawa also secured victories, along with Congress wins in Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, an Independent candidate triumphed in Bihar.
