Donald Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday in what authorities are treating as an assassination attempt. Trump's campaign confirmed that he is fine after the incident.

In response, investors shared their reactions. Nick Twidale, Chief Market Analyst at ATFX Global in Sydney, said, “I think it probably increases his chances, and we will probably see some haven flows in the morning.”

Rong Ren Goh, Portfolio Manager at Eastspring Investments in Singapore, added, “The shooting is likely to bolster Trump’s support, only augmenting the positive momentum following the Presidential debates two weeks ago. Market response to a Trump presidency typically involves a stronger U.S. dollar and a steepening U.S. Treasuries curve, trends we might observe this week if his election odds improve after the incident.”
