Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced a significant financial aid package for women and girls in the state. At a public rally in his legislative constituency of Baramati, Pawar declared that women with annual incomes less than Rs 2.5 lakhs will receive funds for three LPG cylinders per year.

Highlighting the state’s commitment to women's empowerment, Pawar stated, "We have not stopped at the Ladli Bahan Yojana. Our sisters, mothers, and daughters will receive Rs 46,000 crores under the Ladli Bahan Scheme and Rs 65,000 crores annually through various initiatives. This is to ensure they become self-reliant and confident."

Pawar appealed to voters to support the Mahayuti government in the upcoming Assembly elections, warning against trusting other parties. He also used social media to express gratitude for the public's support. Last week, Pawar, who also oversees the finance portfolio, presented the Maharashtra state budget, unveiling the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme to provide monthly allowances to women.
