Following an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally over the weekend, the U.S. Secret Service announced on Monday its enhanced security measures for the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle stated, "I am confident in the security plan our Secret Service RNC coordinator and our partners have put in place, which we have reviewed and strengthened in the wake of Saturday's shooting."
