India’s Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, met with the newly-appointed Foreign Minister of Nepal, Dr. Arzu Rana, to discuss bilateral issues and cooperation. They focused on Nepal-India relations, economic diplomacy, and existing treaties. Dr. Rana emphasized Nepal's strategic positioning between India and China and its principles of Panchsheel.
India’s Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, made a courtesy call on Nepal’s newly-appointed Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana, on Tuesday to discuss various bilateral issues and cooperation. The meeting, held just a day after Dr. Rana assumed charge, focused on enhancing Nepal-India relations.
Srivastava’s visit came shortly after the new Nepali government, led by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, took office. The meeting was one of the first diplomatic engagements of the new Foreign Minister.
During the discussions, Foreign Minister Rana emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy for Nepal's development and highlighted the nation's strategic positioning between India and China. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to existing treaties and the principles of Panchsheel, stressing the need for balanced relations with all neighbors.
