Voters Denied Rights Seek Intervention

Around 100 voters in West Bengal, allegedly prevented from voting by Trinamool Congress workers, called on Governor CV Ananda Bose for intervention. Led by Suvendu Adhikari, they claim they were denied voting rights during recent elections. Bose assured them he would look into the matter.

Around 100 voters in West Bengal, allegedly blocked from casting their votes by Trinamool Congress workers, sought intervention from Governor CV Ananda Bose. The incident came to light when Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, led these voters to meet the Governor, claiming they were barred from voting in recent by-elections and Lok Sabha polls.

Governor Bose actively engaged with the voters and promised to investigate the matter thoroughly. During a press briefing at the Raj Bhavan, BJP leader Adhikari disclosed plans to arrange a meeting with President Draupadi Murmu to further address these grievances.

Adhikari emphasized the importance of President Murmu being informed about the situation in West Bengal, stressing that such issues cannot be allowed to persist. He intends to bring several of these aggrieved voters to meet the President and narrate their experiences first-hand.
