Indonesia's outgoing government is set to swear in Thomas Djiwandono, the nephew of President-elect Prabowo Subianto, as deputy finance minister on Thursday, according to a senior official from the Gerindra political party.
Djiwandono will maintain this role after Prabowo's term officially commences in October, Senior Gerindra official Sufmi Dasco Ahmad confirmed.
Earlier, Reuters had reported Djiwandono's planned appointment, citing anonymous sources.
