Known to her constituents simply as 'Congresswoman,' Jackson Lee was celebrated for her enduring presence and service spanning over 30 years.

A 15-term representative, Jackson Lee, educated at Yale College and the University of Virginia Law School, was committed to addressing social justice, economic disparities, and public health issues throughout her career. She introduced the legislation making 'Juneteenth' a federal holiday and was vocal about police reform following the fatal arrest of George Floyd in 2020.
