Odisha Assembly Session: CM Invites Opposition Leader

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik to invite him to the assembly session starting Monday. The meeting, held at Patnaik’s residence, also included Deputy CM KV Singh Deo. The session, beginning with the Governor's address, will continue until September 13 with the budget presentation on July 25.

In a key political move, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik to extend an invitation for the upcoming assembly session starting Monday.

Accompanied by Deputy CM KV Singh Deo, the meeting took place at Patnaik's residence on Sunday afternoon. ''The chief minister invited the LoP to attend the all-party meeting convened by the speaker and participate in the House proceedings from Monday,'' Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling told reporters.

In addition, Majhi solicited constructive suggestions from Patnaik. The upcoming session will commence with Governor Raghubar Das's address and is scheduled to last until September 13, with 27 business days, including the budget presentation for 2024-25 on July 25.
