Senator Joe Manchin Contemplates 2024 Presidential Bid

Senator Joe Manchin, formerly a Democrat and now an independent, has not ruled out a challenge to Vice President Kamala Harris or any other Democrat in the 2024 presidential race, following President Joe Biden's decision to drop out. Speaking on CNN, Manchin admitted he had not given serious thought to re-registering as a Democrat.

Senator Joe Manchin, who has since declared independence from the Democratic Party, made headlines on Monday by not ruling out a potential run for the 2024 presidential race. This development comes on the heels of President Joe Biden's announcement to withdraw from the race.

In an interview with CNN, Manchin, a prominent political figure known for his centrist views, expressed he had not given substantial consideration to re-registering as a Democrat, despite his previous affiliations.

When questioned about a possible challenge against Vice President Kamala Harris, recently endorsed by Biden, Manchin remained non-committal, stating, 'I don't know.'
