Haryana Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday accused the BJP of scuttling the rights of Dalits and backward classes since coming to power in the state.

Hooda, a former chief minister, claimed the BJP suffers from an anti-SC and OBC mentality.

He alleged the BJP is ending permanent government jobs through privatization and skill corporation, and closing government schools to hand over the education system to private entities. Hooda argued that by abolishing government jobs and institutions, reservations for SCs and OBCs will end.

Hooda made these remarks while addressing a function held to commemorate the birth anniversary of Guru Daksh Prajapati Maharaj. He emphasized the relationship between the Congress and backward classes, stating that when they part ways, both suffer losses. He pointed out the BJP's decision to reduce and then re-increase the creamy layer limit as a tactic to win votes.

Hooda asserted that if Congress wins the upcoming Haryana assembly polls, they will fill the 2 lakh vacant jobs and the backlog of OBC posts. He also promised to eliminate recruitment irregularities and increase the creamy layer limit.
