On Monday, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi leveraged the 'chakravyuh' metaphor to critique the BJP, contending that a pervasive atmosphere of fear has enveloped the nation. He promised the INDIA bloc would dismantle this structure.

During the Lok Sabha debate on Budget 2024-25, Gandhi stressed that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance would guarantee legal backing for MSP and facilitate a caste census. His speech, invoking the Mahabharat, led to turmoil in the House, compelling Speaker Om Birla to intervene.

Gandhi alleged the Union Budget aimed solely to strengthen big businesses and political monopoly, compromising democratic structures. He criticized the government for fostering fear across various sectors, from politicians to farmers, and condemned the Finance Minister’s proposals as inadequate for addressing widespread unemployment and economic distress.
