Keshav Prasad Maurya Labels SP as 'Samaaptwadi Party'

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Monday called the Samajwadi Party (SP) the 'Samaaptwadi Party', claiming that its chief has become a pawn of the Congress.

Maurya asserted that if the SP's association with criminals and mafia ends, the party itself will cease to exist. He made these remarks at a BJP working committee meeting focused on the OBC community in Lucknow.

He accused SP leader Akhilesh Yadav of being the linchpin of criminal activities and mafia operations in the state, adding that the SP perpetuates lies to mislead the public. Maurya urged BJP members to gear up for the 2027 UP Assembly elections, emphasizing the party’s intent to prioritize OBC welfare under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
