Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the incoming governor of Jharkhand, received a warm welcome from Chief Minister Hemant Soren upon his arrival at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport on Tuesday.

Gangwar, who previously served as Union labour minister, is set to be sworn in as the 12th governor of Jharkhand at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Soren was accompanied by Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato, numerous ministers including Rameshwar Oraon, Banna Gupta, Mithilesh Thakur, Baidyanath Ram, Bebi Devi, Hafizul Hasan, and various senior officials such as Chief Secretary L Khiangte.

Earlier in the day, Soren bid farewell to outgoing governor C P Radhakrishnan, who will now take on his new role as the governor of Maharashtra. The CM had also visited the Raj Bhavan with his wife to extend good wishes to Radhakrishnan for a long and healthy life.

Soren expressed optimism that the people of Jharkhand would continue to receive love, blessings, and guidance from the new governor.
