The Congress' parliamentary party on Wednesday observed a moment of silence to pay homage to those who were tragically killed in the Wayanad landslides and in the flooding of a coaching center basement in Delhi's Old Rajinder Nagar area.
The tribute was led in the Central Hall of the Samvidhan Sadan by key figures, including Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, and former party chief Rahul Gandhi. The members paid their respects at the start of the general body meeting.
Heavy rains on July 27 led to the death of three UPSC aspirants due to flooding at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Delhi's coaching hub. In Kerala, one of the worst natural disasters saw at least 123 persons killed and 128 injured from massive landslides triggered by torrential rains in Wayanad.
