JD(S) announced its withdrawal from the proposed protest march against alleged irregularities in land distribution by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), citing lack of coordination and support from the BJP.
According to party leader H D Kumaraswamy, the BJP failed to include JD(S) in planning the march, which aimed to protest alleged fraudulent land allotments by MUDA, including those to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife, Parvathi. Kumaraswamy criticized the timing of the march, highlighting the ongoing crises due to heavy rains that have left many homeless.
Kumaraswamy expressed his frustration with the BJP's decision to appoint former BJP MLA Preetham Gowda from Hassan to lead the protest, accusing him of actions against his family. He questioned the BJP's intentions and support for such a protest amidst serious issues affecting the people.
