Growing Clamour for Udhayanidhi’s Elevation as Deputy CM

DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin acknowledged increasing demands within his party to elevate his son, Udhayanidhi, as Deputy Chief Minister. However, Stalin implied that the timing is not yet right for this move. Udhayanidhi currently serves as the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister and manages key projects.

DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has acknowledged the growing internal demand to elevate his son, Udhayanidhi, to the position of Deputy Chief Minister.

Asked about the increasing calls from within the party, Stalin stated that while the demand has become stronger, the time for such a decision has not ripened yet.

Udhayanidhi currently serves as the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister and oversees significant projects including the Chennai Metro Rail Phase-2.
