Maratha Activists Confront Raj Thackeray Over 'Proxy' Comments

Maratha activists on Monday confronted Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray at his Dharashiv hotel. They sought clarification on his comments about someone using Maratha quota leaders as proxies.

Thackeray had implied during his Solapur tour that political factions were manipulating the Maratha quota agitation. He invited the activists to discuss issues, but they declined, citing his disrespectful tone.

Thackeray also criticized caste politics and emphasized local job prioritization. Meanwhile, Maratha leader Manoj Jarange continues his quest for Kunbi certificates to secure quota benefits under the OBC category.
