Opposition Demands Karnataka CM's Resignation Over Alleged MUDA 'Scam'

The combined opposition, BJP and JD(S), continued their protest march demanding the resignation of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah over the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam. The march highlights alleged fraudulent allotments, including to Siddaramaiah's wife. Protestors rallied through various districts, gaining momentum with significant political participation.

BJP and JD(S) parties continued their protest march on Tuesday, calling for the resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over an alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam. Protestors claim that sites were fraudulently allotted, including to Siddaramaiah's wife Parvathi.

The protest, termed 'Mysuru Chalo', began on its fourth day at Nidaghatta and aims to cover 20 km to reach Mandya. Key figures such as BJP State President B Y Vijayendra and JD(S) leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy joined the march, which had significant participant turnout.

Participants carried flags, placards, and chanted slogans against the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government. BJP leaders argue that the MUDA scam involves up to Rs 5,000 crore. The state government has responded with a probe, amidst allegations of misuse of power.
