Election Commission to Review Jammu and Kashmir Security

The Election Commission is set to meet with Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla on Wednesday to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, sources revealed.

Last week, the commission reviewed the region's poll preparedness. Addressing a press conference in Jammu, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar underscored the commission's dedication to conducting assembly elections in the Union Territory at the earliest.

Kumar also asserted that neither external nor internal forces could sabotage the electoral process.
