Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has categorically ruled out the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah despite mounting demands amid the ongoing MUDA scam allegations. Addressing a press conference at Vidhana Soudha with Cabinet colleagues, Shivakumar stated that the Congress party and the government remain united and fully support the Chief Minister.
Shivakumar accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of orchestrating a conspiracy to destabilize the ruling Congress government by misusing the governor's office. 'Siddaramaiah will continue to serve as Chief Minister and will not succumb to these pressure tactics. We are prepared for a legal battle and have the solidarity of the INDIA bloc,' Shivakumar asserted.
He further criticized the governor's decision to allow prosecution without preliminary investigation, deeming it unconstitutional and undemocratic. Highlighting similar cases where BJP leaders were not prosecuted despite completed investigations, Shivakumar emphasized that the government will fight legally and politically to protect its interests and serve the people of Karnataka.
