Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), is experiencing notable health improvements as he undergoes treatment for a chest infection at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.

According to hospital sources, the 72-year-old political leader was admitted to the hospital's emergency department on Monday evening.

In an official statement, the party confirmed Yechury's improving condition, stating, 'Comrade Sitaram Yechury, General Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist), was admitted to AIIMS last evening (August 19) due to a chest infection. He is undergoing treatment and his condition is improving.'
