Haryana Gears Up for October 1 Elections with Enhanced Security Measures
Haryana has requested over 200 central forces companies to ensure peaceful elections on October 1 for its 90 assembly seats. The state, with over 2.03 crore voters, has already been allotted 70 companies. The Election Commission has imposed the Model Code of Conduct, and key election dates have been announced.

Haryana has intensified its preparations for the upcoming elections scheduled on October 1 by requesting over 200 additional companies of central forces to maintain order and ensure the process remains free and fair.
Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal announced that the state had asked for 225 companies, of which 70 have been approved. This comes after the Election Commission set polling for the 90-member Haryana Assembly and declared that results will be out by October 4. The Model Code of Conduct is now in effect.
Haryana has a voter base of over 2.03 crore, comprising 1.07 crore males, 95 lakh females, and 455 transgender individuals. Key election-related dates include September 5 for the notification, September 12 for nominations, and September 16 for the withdrawal of candidature.
