Independent U.S. presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is contemplating an agreement with Donald Trump, wherein he would endorse the Republican in return for a role in a potential Trump administration, as revealed by a super PAC backing Kennedy on Wednesday.
According to Larry Sharpe, outreach director with American Values 2024, Kennedy is prepared to exit the race if Trump offers him and his supporters positions in the White House. Trump indicated to CNN his openness to Kennedy's involvement in his administration, should Kennedy withdraw and endorse him.
Kennedy seeks the continuance of his political movement in some form, possibly by remaining on state ballots. ABC News reported that Kennedy plans to endorse Trump by the end of the week. Kennedy's campaign has not commented on these reports.
