Polestar Appoints Michael Lohscheller as New CEO, Succeeding Thomas Ingenlath

Swedish electric-vehicle manufacturer Polestar has announced that Michael Lohscheller will take over as CEO from Thomas Ingenlath beginning October 1. Lohscheller, an experienced leader in the automotive industry, has previously led companies like Opel, VinFast, and Nikola. Ingenlath has been with Polestar since 2017, coming from Volvo Cars.

Swedish electric-vehicle manufacturer Polestar announced on Wednesday that Michael Lohscheller will become the new chief executive officer, taking over from current CEO Thomas Ingenlath effective October 1.

Lohscheller, a seasoned professional with previous stints as CEO of Opel, VinFast, and Nikola, is recognized for his expertise in navigating competitive automotive markets and scaling businesses, according to a statement from Polestar.

Thomas Ingenlath joined Polestar, which is controlled by China's Geely, in 2017, transitioning from his role as senior vice-president of design at Volvo Cars. He had also held key design management roles at Skoda Auto and Volkswagen prior to that.
