Former chief minister Champai Soren has resigned from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) citing grievances with the party's current policies and style of functioning.
Soren announced his decision on Wednesday and expressed his commitment to joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) soon. He emphasized that his dedication towards the cause of tribals, Dalits, and backwards will endure.
In a letter addressed to JMM supremo Shibu Soren, the senior tribal leader outlined his reasons for departing from the party he has been a part of, stating that dissatisfaction with JMM's current direction forced his decision.
