Uttar Pradesh Minister Sanjay Nishad announced Wednesday that a new team of wildlife experts has been mobilized to capture wolves in the Bahraich district. The mission, which aims to complete within 10 days, involves doubling the number of personnel and extensive drone surveillance.

Addressing a press conference, Nishad urged residents to avoid sleeping outdoors for their safety. 'A new team of experts specializing in catching man-eater animals has been called in,' Nishad stated. 'Three wolves were spotted by drone cameras, but there could be more. The Chief Minister is closely monitoring the situation.'

Forest Minister Arun Saxena added that both normal and thermal drones are being deployed. 'CM Yogi Adityanath is concerned and frequently reviews the situation. Precautions include advising people to stay indoors and securing doors at night,' Saxena said. Financial aid of Rs 5 lakhs has been announced for families of the deceased victims.

Earlier, the Forest Department and Police began awareness campaigns in 25 to 30 villages to inform residents about the situation. According to a statement by the Bahraich Forest Division, three teams have been formed to raise public awareness. The ongoing 'Operation Bhediya' has already captured four wolves, with efforts continuing to locate the remaining pack members.
