Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday strongly criticized the BJP, accusing the party of 'poaching' MLAs and MPs from other parties.
Soren asserted that the BJP would be 'driven out' of the state 'forever' following the assembly elections this year.
He accused the BJP of using central agencies like the ED and CBI to intimidate opposition leaders and force their cooperation. Soren made these comments at the 'Aapki Yojana, Apki Sarkar Apke Dwar' program, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 347 projects totaling over Rs 1,000 crore for Gumla and Lohardaga districts.
In a passionate speech, Soren declared that the opposition party is desperate for power and has been trying to manipulate his government and MLAs. He further claimed that failing local BJP leaders are now importing leaders from other states to stoke communal tensions in Jharkhand.
Blaming the BJP for obstructing welfare schemes, Soren vowed to ensure that the benefits reach the people and expressed his determination to expel the BJP from Jharkhand permanently.
