British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Ireland Saturday to meet his Irish counterpart, Simon Harris, aiming to reset relations between the two countries.
This visit is the first by a British leader to Ireland in five years, highlighting an effort to deepen ties on economic and security matters. Starmer and Harris also participated in a business roundtable to explore trading opportunities worth around 120 billion euros ($130 billion).
The two leaders capped off the visit by attending a soccer match between Ireland and England, presenting a symbolic gesture of unity by swapping jerseys.
