Kremlin Displeased with Putin's Name in U.S. Debate

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed displeasure over the frequent use of Vladimir Putin's name in the U.S. political debate. Peskov criticized the hostile stance of the U.S. towards Russia and urged candidates to refrain from involving Putin in domestic politics. The White House had previously asked Putin to avoid commenting on the election.

Peskov told reporters that using Putin's name in domestic political controversies in the U.S. is strongly frowned upon by the Kremlin, highlighting the broader hostility and negativity from the U.S. towards Russia.

He also mentioned a recent instance where the White House had asked Putin to stop commenting on the U.S. election after he made a seemingly jestful remark favoring Kamala Harris over Donald Trump.
