In a televised address on Wednesday, Bangladesh's Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus underscored the necessity for fair and equal relations with neighboring nations, including India. He highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation and regional unity.

Yunus, who assumed office after Sheikh Hasina's resignation, revealed that foreign leaders, including India's Narendra Modi and Pakistan's Shehbaz Sharif, congratulated him on his new role. He emphasized that Bangladesh has already begun high-level talks with India to address flood issues and plans to revive SAARC to enhance regional cooperation.

Yunus also outlined the interim government's ambitious reform agenda, which includes establishing six commissions to overhaul key sectors such as the electoral system, judiciary, and public administration. He stressed that these reforms aim to ensure equal rights for all citizens and foster the potential of the new generation.
